Be An Advocate
How to help. . .
Join us in our ongoing efforts to bring assistance to the homeless and runaway youth in our community as we prepare for the renovation and sustainable staffing of “the Door“, scheduled to open in 2013. Please see our contribution list for needed items or learn about volunteering.
We appreciate you help; whether through prayer, donations or volunteering, we recognize that by working together we are stronger and we can make a difference in our community.
Our Current Project: the Door
In Fairbanks, teens lack safe shelter. Disconnected, they find shelter in unsafe and potentially dangerous situations. “the Door“, Fairbanks Youth Advocates’ emergency youth shelter will be there for them. In anticipation of our 2013 opening; we need your help:
$25 donation
Provides three nutritious meals, a hot shower, and other critical basic services. You help us get youth off the street and connect them with people who can help!
$75 donation
Provides clothing, toiletry supplies, & crisis counseling, in addition to meals & showers. When basic needs are met, our teens have hope for the future.
$150 donation
Spreads our net, and re-connects teens in crisis with familiar adults through family reconciliation services, going even further towards helping that teen succeed and get back on their feet.
